LAHORE: A deleg
ation from Glasgow, headed by former Scottish legislator Hunzala Malik, visited the Lahore Town Hall and met with Lahore Mayor Col (r) Mubashir Javed.
The meeting discussed plans for the provision of motorbike amb
ulances for congested and narrow streets of Lahore as a token of regard for local citizens from the Glaswegian delegation.

ation officials were also pr
esent on the occasion.
Malik revealed that the Punjab Chief Minister was greatly motivated to provide facilities of the highest standard to the people of Punjab and it was due to his interest that Glasgow city had decided to provide these motorbike amb
ulances. He added that the amb
ulances would be supplied to different cities of Punjab including Lahore with the aim of providing quicker responses in case of emergencies. He further revealed that from the 300 Motorbikes amb
ulances supplied, 10would be handed over to Lahore Rescue 1122 nex
t Saturday while the rest of the amb
ulances would be given after a training session for Rescue 1122 employees.
On the occasion, Col (r) Javed thanked Hunzala Malik for the Glasgo
w administration’s cooperation. He also said that the Metropolitan Corpor
ation would try to provide best facilities to citizens.
“These Motorbike amb
ulances would go in narrow streets in case of emergency and would be helpful in providing first aid on urgent basis,” the mayor added.
